Go-Green Community School is a wholly owned Ghanaian private co-educational day basic school. Our educational concept involves the development and operation of educational institution to offer Pre-School, Primary and Junior High School programs. Our curriculum is designed to provide the best basic education in the Tema Metropolis.
The school has been duly registered under the companies code 1963 act 179 and has full accreditation from Ghana education service (GES).
At GCS we have self motivated teachers who are committed to excellence, with effective guidance and counseling skills to help guide pupils for proper placement.
The school began academic work in September 2010 and prepared its first batch of pupils for the Basic Education Certificate Examinations in the 2014/2015 academic year. By the Grace of the Almighty God our first BECE 2015 examination candidates have come out with flying colours, with a hundred percent pass. We are grateful to all Parents/Guardians for the role they also played in making the success story.
Values:
1. We treat our pupils with dignity and respect, encouraging individuality and promoting self-assurance, confidence and independence.
2. Our academic philosophy of “Think, Understand and Apply” is adopted within our nurturing environment, and our small class sizes ensure a close interaction between the teacher and student.
3. The expertise, commitment, innovative ideas and methodologies of our staff encapsulate the dynamics of our education philosophy.
4. Our Code of Conduct, together with a demerit and warning system, ensures that our pupils are responsible for their actions and have a clear understanding of the consequences.
5. Tell me, I'll forget. Show me, I'll remember, Involve me, I'll understand"
a. Tell me, I'll forget..... hearing and listening are not one of the stronger senses in brain and nervous systems.
b. Show me, I'll remember...seeing is one of the strongest senses in the central nervous system. [brain].
c. Involve me, I'll understand...this would include all of the senses possible....skin, hearing, seeing, feeling, touching, smelling, taste and etc....also involvement means in most cases experiential learning. Which indeed means, Involve me, I'll understand.
These are the means to learning...this is what we as teachers should always have in mind.
